The Tyra Banks Show and Tina Knowles Makeover
March 1, 2007

In February 2007, 1736 Family Crisis Center was contacted about the possible opportunity of collaborating with The Tyra Banks Show and Tina Knowles (Beyonce's mother) in order to award a deserving domestic violence survivor with a complete makeover. 1736 FCC quickly selected and nominated a client who had struggled with many barriers including domestic violence and custody issues. The client was surprised by Tina Knowles at one of our domestic violence shelters as she was giving a speech about the services that she received from 1736 FCC. The client was whisked away on the spot, and her two-day makeover began.

On the March 1st recording of The Tyra Banks Show, the client debuted her new look. The Deputy Director of 1736FCC was also on stage to speak about all of the wonderful services that the client was able to take advantage of as a client of the agency. As part of this collaboration, the client received an entire new wardrobe including shoes, make-up, new hair style and color, and beauty tips.
